How to Know When to Call a Workplace Violence Prevention Expert

1

Identify concerning behavior

You are seeing things — escalation or patterns at work that may indicate behavioral threats.

2

Assess internal response

Your team has reached the limits of its expertise, or HR/legal cannot resolve the situation alone.

3

Evaluate the issue clearly

Independent assessment helps determine the level and nature of the threat involved.

4

Consider legal exposure

An expert helps you document the right things and get the guidance to defend your risk posture.

5

Call a consultant early

Early consultation supports defensible decision-making and prevents escalation.
